BRODHEAD - A Brodhead man was arrested Thursday morning in connection with an armed robbery at M&J's Tavern in the early morning hours.
Richard W. Parot, 55, was arrested just before 9 a.m. near his home at W989 Taylor Trail in Brodhead, according to the Brodhead Police Department.
The tavern was robbed by a man armed with a handgun just after closing time, an employee reported to Brodhead Police shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday. The suspect fled with an unknown amount of money.
Parot was taken to the Green County jail on charges of robbery and victim intimidation.
