SOUTH WAYNE - A fundraiser for the Blackhawk Area Food Pantry is set for Saturday, March 2 at Marty's Village Inn, 207 Wisconsin 11.
The event includes food, free entertainment and an auction with all the benefits going to the Blackhawk Area Food Pantry.
Food will be available starting at noon. The menu includes barbecue or hot dog plate with cheesy potatoes, baked beans, potato chips, bars and beverages. The prices is $5 per person or $3 for ages 5 and under.
From 1 to 3:30 p.m., entertainment will be provided by Eric Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute artist.
At 3:30 p.m., an auction will begin with auctioneer Cal Schaver. There will be several items for sale including baked goods, arts/crafts, gift baskets, Brewer tickets and gift
certificates.
The event is sponsored by Our Saviors Lutheran Church, South Wayne; Jordan Lutheran Church, Browntown; St. John Catholic Church, South Wayne; St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gratiot; and Wiota Lutheran Church, Wiota. Additional funding is provided by the Lafayette County Chapter of Thrivent Financial.
