Monroe resident Beverly Rufer, who is retired from Lucky Seven where she worked for nine years, talks about her best friend 5-year-old Yorkshire terrier Rascal. Rufer got Rascal almost five years ago from a breeder south of Freeport. Rufer's daughter Joyce Kubly referred to him as being a rascal when she picked him up for her mother, which is how he got his name.
