MONROE - The Bel Canto Singers will present "Vespers," their annual Christmas concert, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at St. Victor Catholic Church, 1760 14th St.
Allen Redford directs the group.
The concert will also feature Deborah Krauss Smith, organist, and the St. John's Handbell Choir. A reception will follow the performance.
The concert this year will follow the traditional Nine Lessons and Carols, which was initiated in 1880 by Edward White Benson, later the Archbishop of Canterbury. In the years since then, it has been adapted and used all over the world.
