MONROE - Baumgartner's Cheese Store and Tavern on the Square is slated to be featured on a show on the History Channel Thursday.

The "Only In America with Larry the Cable Guy" episode includes a segment in which Larry is "off to show us why Wisconsin is so famous for cheese and to brave the task of making Limburger, the stinkiest cheese of them all."

An online promotional video also features Larry trying the pub's Limburger cheese sandwich.

"You know the worst part of it is," Larry said, "What's coming out of your mouth is even worse."

In the video, Baumgartner's co-owner Chris Soukup tells Larry, "It's not that bad."

While Larry does not find the taste of Limburger all that appetizing, he does follow the tradition of donating money to the ceiling for charity.

"And there it is: two reasons to visit Monroe, Wisconsin," Larry said. "To help a charity and to eat the world's worst sandwich."

The show, according to producers, allows Larry to travel the United States to show why he believes the country is the greatest in the world.

The "Cheesehead Charity" episode featuring Monroe is scheduled to premiere at 9 p.m. on the History Channel.
