DARLINGTON - Lafayette County residents can expect to see at least one new member on their county board of supervisors after the April 8 election and will watch another seat being challenged on the ballot.
Current District 8 Supervisor Ron Niemann filed non-candidacy papers with the county clerk's office. But Paul Zeke Garthwaite has filed nomination papers for the district seat, according to Lafayette County clerk office. District 8 includes the areas of Town of Argyle Ward One, all of the Town of Blanchard and part of Village of Blanchardville.
In District 1, consisting of Town of Belmont Ward One and Town of Elk Grove Ward One, incumbent Patrick Shea is being challenged by Larry Ludlum.
All the other incumbents have filed for re-election.
