Firefighters to host pancake breakfast
JUDA - Members of the Juda Volunteer Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at the Community Center, N23550 County KS.
The breakfast is being held in conjunction with the Juda Fore Fathers events, set for Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28.
Tickets are $5 in advance for adults or $6 at the door and children under 4 are free. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the department.

Pancake breakfast slated for July 29
ALBANY - The Green County Forty and Eight will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, July 29 at the Albany American Legion, 300 N. Water St.
The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The money raised will go towards the organization's nursing scholarships.
Quilt, consignment auction is July 28
ALBANY - The Clearview School's 16th annual Quilt and Consignment Auction will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the Clearview Amish School, W114 Atkinson Road.
Auction items include woodcrafts, pillows, new furniture, comforters, antiques, wall hangers, horse consignments and horse related items. A food stand will also benefit the Clearview School along with all proceeds from the auction.

MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild's Summer Arts Camp is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 13 through Friday, Aug. 17.
The camp includes a week of theater, art and music for children ages 5 through 14. There is a choice of a half-day morning camp or full-day from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The week leads to the Exhibition Night on Friday, Aug. 17, where students showcase their skills with an art and performance exhibit for family and friends.

Threshing, antique show scheduled
FREEPORT - The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club is sponsoring its 43rd annual Threshing and Antique show Friday, Aug. 3 through Sunday, Aug. 5 at the Stephenson County Fairgrounds and the Silver Creek Museum Campus, 2954 S. Walnut St., with gates opening at 7 a.m.
The show features a large flea market, working antique displays, steam train rides, tractor pulls and the Silver Creek museum. One of the largest operating steam engines in the United States will be featured.

Zwingli to host all-church picnic
MONTICELLO - A mid-summer communion and all-church picnic will start at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 East Lake Ave.
The gospel group, One Achord, will perform during the worship service.
The event will be a catered event with pulled pork and Culver's ice cream.
Gospel concert slated for Aug. 4
MONTICELLO - One Achord, a gospel singing group from Waupaca, will present a concert from 7 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Octagonal Shelter on the northeast shore of Lake Montesian.
Their concert will include both sacred and pop songs. A freewill offering will be received for Zwingli Church.
Those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair.
