TOWN OF ARGYLE - An Argyle man was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent after a rollover accident Thursday morning in the Town of Argyle, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office.
Turner J. Beernink, 21, was also arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated. Because he is currently on probation for a Green County felony conviction of third-degree sexual assault and a Lafayette County misdemeanor conviction of disorderly conduct, deputies placed him on a probation and parole hold.
Deputies were called to the accident scene on Wisconsin 81 at 6:43 a.m. Thursday. Beernink had lost control on a curve and left the road, causing the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving to roll down into the ditch line.
The car belongs to Joseph P. Schubat, 37, Argyle. It sustained severe damage and was towed.
Beernink was taken to Monroe Clinic for treatment of minor injuries, then jailed.
Argyle Ambulance and the Argyle Fire Department assisted deputies at the accident scene.
