MONROE — Local Wisconsin groups are coalescing for the Saturday, Oct. 18 No Kings Day protests in order to  signal their opposition to the current presidential administration’s policies in almost all areas.

A show of force will be seen in large cities and small towns with citizens protesting all over the U.S. The name “No Kings” comes from the idea that, according to organizers, the current president is acting like a dictator — or king — with no guardrails on his power and not the leader of a democratic nation. His overreach in all areas of government and policies are seen by many as reason to oppose him and the people who carry out his orders, local organizers said.

Many more rallies are being planned as citizens become increasingly alarmed at the rate at which citizen rights are being extinguished.
