MONROE - Like most of Wisconsin, Green and Lafayette counties' unemployment rates increased in June, according to a report released Wednesday by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
Green County's rate increased slightly, from 9.3 percent in May to 9.4 percent, while Lafayette County's unemployment number increased half a percent, from 7 percent in May to 7.5 percent in June.
The increases in local unemployment rates comes on the heels of a dip in unemployment in Green and Lafayette counties.

Of Wisconsin's 72 counties, unemployment rates improved in 11, got worse in 57 and stayed unchanged in four in June.
