MONROE — A rural Albany man has posted bond after being arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child.

Court records show that Jonathon Scott Elsner, 25, of rural Albany appeared in Green County Circuit Court for an initial appearance on Wednesday, Jan. 14. During court, a $2,500 cash bond was imposed with records showing that the cash bond was posted, meaning Elsner was no longer in the custody of the Green County Sheriff’s Office as of Thursday, Jan. 15.

On Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 the Green County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding incidents of Repeated Child Sexual Assaults reported to have taken place in the City of Brodhead and in locations within rural Green County in the Town of Decatur.
