MONDAY, MAY 18

• The Southwest Family Care Alliance Board will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Spring Green Community Library, 230 E. Monroe St., Spring Green. Agenda items include a review of the April 2009 financials.

• The City of Monroe Board of Public Works will meet at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include a presentation by Fehr-Graham regarding the downtown streetscape project.

• The City of Monroe Public Safety Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include a downtown parking enforcement system.

• The Monroe School District Board of Education and Monroe Education Association will meet in a closed session for negotiations at 5 p.m. at the District Administrative Center.

• The Monroe School District BOE Negotiations Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the District Administrative Center. Agenda items include a closed session for MEA negotiations.

• The City of Monroe Common Council will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include presentation of a proposed Transportation Utility program creation and implementation, and possible action and recommendation to the Finance and Taxation Committee for funding approval; also, discussion and possible action regarding the vacant City Administrator position.

• The Monroe School District Finance Committee will meet at 6:45 p.m. at the District Administrative Center. Agenda items include expenditure summary - all funds.

• The Monroe School District Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the District Administrative Center. Agenda items include a fourth band instructor position for the middle and high schools.

• The Sylvester Township Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall for a regular meeting.

TUESDAY, MAY 19

• The City of Monroe Historic Preservation Commission will meet at noon at City Hall. Agenda items include several discussions and possible actions on sign guidelines and non-conforming signs.

• The Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the MHLC conference room. Agenda items include discussion and possible action on the 2008 financial audit.

• The Green County Highway Committee will meet at 6:15 p.m. in the highway commissioner's office. Agenda items include possible approval to hire a parts manager for the highway department.

• The City of Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include discussion and take action regarding concerns about proposed loss of parking enforcement revenue that could result in budget shortfalls for Police and Public Works Departments.



• The City of Monroe Common Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include a roll call vote on a resolution authorizing application for a State Trust Fund Loan for $4.2 million for financing community development projects located in Tax Increment District 7.

• The Darlington Community School District Board will meet at 8 p.m. in the elementary/middle school. Agenda items include approval of athletic budget.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 20

• The City of Monroe Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners will meet at 5:15 p.m. in the conference room at City Hall. Agenda items include requests for sales opportunities July 4 in park.

• The Juda School District Building, Grounds and Transportation Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the district office at the high school.

• The Juda School District Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the district office at the high school. Agenda items include election of board officers.

THURSDAY, MAY 21

• The Town of Monroe Board of Review will be called into session at 6:45 p.m. at the Town Hall, and immediately adjourn until such time as the assessment roll is completed.

• The Town of Monroe Board will meet at 7:15 p.m. at the Town Hall. Agenda items include a presentation by the Green County Highway Department summer work. The town will plant a tree at 7 p.m. at the hall, in memory of town patrolman Duane Weiss.

• The City of Monroe Salary and Personnel Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include a closed session for union contract negotiations/ bargaining with WPPA dispatcher.

FRIDAY, MAY 22

• The Wisconsin Downtown Action Council community visit will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Amcore Bank community room. A majority of the members of the City of Monroe Common Council may be present to gather information.
