The Town of Monroe Special Voting Deputies will be at Pleasant View Nursing Home at 10:30 a.m. to assist any residents who wish to vote absentee.



Saturday, August 9

The City of Monroe gives notice that a majority of members of the city's Common Council, committees and boards may be present for the open house from noon to 4 p.m. at the Monroe Municipal Airport new terminal. No official city business will be transacted.



Monday, August 11

The Green County Highway Committee will meet at 9 a.m. at the highway commissioner's office. Agenda items include public complaints received regarding the condition of the Wisconsin 11/81 bypass and the safety of Wis. 11 at the intersection with Carnie Road.

The Lafayette County Human Resource Committee will meet at 10 a.m. at the courthouse. Agenda items include a closed-session discussion for the purposes of negotiating with the Teamsters Union Local No. 695 (highway unit).

The Darlington Community School District Building and Grounds Committee will meet at 6 p.m. at the elementary/middle school. Agenda items include an executive session for a discussion and recommendation regarding selection of architecture firm for high school.

The School District of Black Hawk Transportation Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the library at South Wayne. Agenda items include bus purchase(s).

The School District of Monroe Finance Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at the District Administrative Center. Agenda items include the approval of substitute teacher pay increase.

The School District of Monroe Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the District Administrative Center. Agenda items include the approval of virtual school open enrollment terminations.

The Green County Human Services Board will meet at 2 p.m. at the Government Services Building. Agenda items include action on 2015 requests for proposals.



Wednesday, August 13

The Green County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at 9 a.m. at Minhas Craft Brewery. Agenda items include a review of Green County Hazardous Material Strategic Plan.

The Green County Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the sheriff's office. Agenda items include a discussion and possible action on jail medical mental health contract.

The Green County Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. at the courthouse. Agenda items include the consideration to approve the Regional Comprehensive Community Services Intergovernmental agreement.

The School District of Brodhead Board will meet at 7 p.m. at the district office. Agenda items include a closed-session discussion regarding an update on staffing.

The Green County Aging and Disability Advisory Committee will meet at 2 p.m. at the Government Services Building. Agenda items include an elder benefit specialist presentation by Linda Gallagher.The Green County Solid Waste Management Board will meet at 7 p.m. at the county landfill office. Agenda items include a discussion and possible action on user agreements.

The Audit Subcommittee of the Green County Human Services Board will meet at 2 p.m. at the Government Services Building. Agenda items include a closed-session discussion to audit client-specific bills for payment.



Tuesday, August 19

The Green County Board of Canvass will meet at 9 a.m. at the courthouse to certify the election results.



Tuesday, August 26

The Town of Monroe Board of Review will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at town hall.
