MONDAY, AUG. 3

• The City of Monroe Board of Public Works will meet at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include explanation of stakes along 8th/9th Street project.

• The City of Monroe Public Works Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include recommendation to approve Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin Fire Rescue Monroe Fire School.

• The Monroe Main Street Design Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Monroe Public Library, 2nd floor. Agenda items include drinking fountain outcome.

TUESDAY, AUG. 4

• The Monroe Main Street Promotion Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Turner Hall. Agenda items include bus trips/Shop Monroe.

• The City of Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee will meet at 5:55 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include zoning/planning/building inspection administrative fees.

• The City of Monroe License Committee will meet at 6:10 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include temporary Class "B" fermented malt beverage license and beer garden for Green County Humane Society for Summer Fair on the Square.

• The City of Monroe Judiciary and Ordinance Review Committee will meet at 6:15 at City Hall. Agenda items include meeting with the Green County Humane Society to discuss animal control regulations regarding the limit on the number of dogs and cats.

• The City of Monroe Common Council will meet at 6:45 p.m. at City Hall. Note the earlier starting time. Agenda items include a continuation of the discussion regarding the vacant city administrator position.

• The Darlington Community School District Board will meet at 8 p.m. in the board room at the elementary/middle school. Agenda items include discussion to determine a change in fees for 2009-2010 school year.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 5

• The Village of New Glarus Informal Administrative Committee will meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Village Hall. Agenda items include review/discussion of the Aug. 12 Parks & Recreation agenda.

• A majority of City of Monroe Common Council members may be present when Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton gives a presentation at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall. Lawton's presentation regards new small business programs available through the federal stimulus act.

• The Housing Authority for the City of Monroe will meet at 4 p.m. in the community room at Churchill Woods Apartments, 800 13th Avenue. Agenda items include continued discussion and possible approval of smoke free policy.

• The Village of New Glarus Plan Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the village hall board room. Agenda items include consideration of PUD specific implementation plan for the New Glarus Home.

• The Monticello School Board MEA Negotiations Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the High School LMC. Agenda items include a closed session for collective bargaining with Monticello Education Association.
