The City of Monroe Public Works Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include recommendation to approve Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin Fire Rescue Monroe Fire School.
The Monroe Main Street Design Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Monroe Public Library, 2nd floor. Agenda items include drinking fountain outcome.
TUESDAY, AUG. 4
The Monroe Main Street Promotion Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Turner Hall. Agenda items include bus trips/Shop Monroe.
The City of Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee will meet at 5:55 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include zoning/planning/building inspection administrative fees.
The City of Monroe License Committee will meet at 6:10 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include temporary Class "B" fermented malt beverage license and beer garden for Green County Humane Society for Summer Fair on the Square.
The City of Monroe Judiciary and Ordinance Review Committee will meet at 6:15 at City Hall. Agenda items include meeting with the Green County Humane Society to discuss animal control regulations regarding the limit on the number of dogs and cats.

A majority of City of Monroe Common Council members may be present when Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton gives a presentation at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall. Lawton's presentation regards new small business programs available through the federal stimulus act.
