The Lafayette County Building and Insurance Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the county board room. Agenda items include discussion of new desk purchases and additional staffing in the district attorney office.

The Green County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at 9 a.m. at Orchid Monroe LLC, 350 21st St. Agenda items include election of a chairperson and nomination of new members.

The Lafayette County Audit Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the county clerk’s office. Agenda items include discussion and action on audit of bills.

The New Glarus Parks and Recreation Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the village hall board room. Agenda items include recommendation of a special event permit for the Glenda K. Scott Run and consideration of a request for a free little library at Glarner Park. 

The New Glarus Public Works/Public Safety Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the village hall board room. Agenda items include recommendation for a special event permit for Wilhelm Tell Festival and an update from the police department.

Thursday, August 16

The Green County Development Corporation Board of Directors will meet at 7:30 a.m. at Bailey’s Run Vineyard, N8523 Klitzke Rd, New Glarus. Agenda items include community roundtable and discussion of the revolving loan fund. 

The New Glarus Personnel/Finance Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in the village hall board room. Agenda items include closed session interviews for the public works director. 

The Audit Subcommittee of the Green County Human Services Board will meet at 1 p.m. for open session and 1:20 p.m. for closed session. Agenda items include open session audit of bills for payment and closed session audit of client-specific bills for payment.

The Blackhawk Technical College Board will meet at 3 p.m. in the Galbraith Room of the Janesville Country Club, 2615 W. Memorial Dr. Agenda items include review of financial statements and discussion of the BTC Student Cupboard, a food pantry opening in September on central campus for students.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. at Monroe Public Library.

The Lafayette County Economic Development Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the Extension office at the county courthouse. Agenda items include discussion of a telecommuter program and an overview of the Pecatonica damming study.

The Monroe Town Board will meet at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, N3302 Monroe Rd. Agenda items include discussion of land divisions and monthly reports.

Friday, August 17

The Green County Auditing, Bonding and Claims Committee will meet at 8 a.m. in the finance conference room of the county courthouse. Agenda items include closed session auditing of client-specific bills and open session consideration of departmental requests.

Wednesday, August 20

The New Glarus Triathlon Planning Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the village hall board room. Agenda items include discussion of T-shirt design and discussion of the 2018 triathlon proceeds. 

The Juda Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. in the school learning commons. Agenda items include discussion of operational referendum planning and the support staff handbook.

The Green County Collective Bargaining Committee will meet at 1 p.m. in the Corporation Counsel’s Office, Green County Justice Center, 2841 6th St., Monroe. Agenda items include discussion of Green County Sheriff’s department negotiations in closed session.

Wednesday, August 22

The Lafayette County Planning and Zoning Committee will meet at 6 p.m. in the county courthouse Extension lobby. Agenda items include public hearings for three rezoning requests and discussion of a comprehensive zoning ordinance.
