The City of Monroe Board of Public Works will meet at 4:30 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include authorization to seek bids for masonry work to close coal bins openings below buildings in downtown Square area.

The City of Monroe Public Safety Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include discuss request from resident for restricted parking in area of Ninth Avenue and 16th Street.

Tuesday, Dec. 16

The City of Monroe Historic Preservation Commission will meet at noon at city hall. Agenda items include discuss possible revisions to Historic Preservation Plan for Downtown Historic District and possibly set public hearing date.

The Lafayette County Bargaining Committee will meet at 2 p.m. in the County Board Room of the Lafayette County Courthouse in Darlington. Agenda items include a closed session to discuss strategy for negotiating AFSCME, WPPA and Teamster Union contracts.

The City of Monroe Salary & Personnel Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include recommend to Council to approve salaries for department heads/non-union for 2009.

The City of Monroe Public Property Committee will meet at 6:20 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items in included discuss and recommend to Council to approve "City of Monroe Privacy in Locker Rooms Policy."

The City of Monroe Finance & Taxation Committee will meet at 6:35 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include review and recommend to Council to set fees for Storm Water Management and Construction Site Erosion Control permits.

The City of Monroe License Committee will meet at 6:50 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include review and recommend to Council to grant Class "B" Restaurant Fermented Malt Beverage and "Class C" Wine License to ABC Ventures, LLC and Vince's Restaurant & Pizzeria, LLC.

The City of Monroe Insurance Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include discuss health insurance options and make recommendations to Council.

The Darlington Community School District Board of Education will meet at 8 p.m. in the board meeting room at the elementary/middle school.
