MONROE - Ag-Tech of Monroe has announced it has decided to sell the business to Helena Chemical Company.
The acquisition is expected to be finalized by mid-April, according to a news release.
Ron Smith of Ag-Tech said in the release that it "has become apparent that to be in this industry and continue to be successful demands teaming up with a national company." Helena Chemical Company has been a major supplier for Ag-Tech for years, he wrote, and "based on our relationship with them, we felt they were the best choice to acquire our business."
