MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin AFL-CIO Thursday announced its list of endorsements for state and national legislative races.
In the 51st district for state Assembly, the AFL-CIO is endorsing incumbent Steve Hilgenberg, D-Dodgeville. He will be challenged in the Nov. 4 general election by Nathan Russell, R-Sauk City.
The AFL-CIO did not make an endorsement in the 80th District, saying it still is to be determined. Incumbent Brett Davis, R-Oregon, will face the winner of the Sept. 9 primary between Monroe Democrats Kris Wisnefske and John Waelti.
The AFL-CIO also is endorsing Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, in the Second Congressional District. Also on the general election ballot is Republican Peter Theron of Madison.
