Absentee voting changes made

MADISON — The Wisconsin Elections Commission announced June 30 changes made regarding absentee voting in the Aug. 11 Partisan Primary.

●  In-person absentee voting will begin Tuesday, July 28. It is effective immediately that all in-person absentee voting may begin no earlier that 14 days prior to the election and must end on the Sunday prior to election day.

●  There is a 28-day residency requirement for voters at a new address. If a voter does not meet the 28-day requirement, they are permitted to vote with their previous address.

●  Fax and email delivery of absentee ballots are restricted to only military and overseas voters, both permanent and temporary. Regular voters may not receive an absentee ballot via fax or email.
