'A Party to Murder' production starts Oct. 26

MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild will be showing its fall production of "A Party to Murder," a combination of a rustic cottage in the middle of a lake, a Halloween murder mystery game and a real, unexpected murder among friends.

The plot involves a businessman, Charles, who hosts a Halloween mystery party at a cottage in the middle of a lake. All is well until the game takes a twist and the guests realize they are now playing for their lives.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27; 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28; 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. There will also be a dinner option, catered by Bean and Barrel, Monroe, with the Friday and Saturday evening performances.

Tickets can be reserved by emailing monroetheatre @tds.net or by calling (608) 325-1111. The MTG box office, 910 16th Ave., opens the week of Monday, Oct. 22 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and two hours prior to show times.
