BRODHEAD - A 91-year-old Brodhead woman was reported in critical condition following a rollover accident Sunday, May 13 in the Town of Decatur.
Velda Olson was extricated by the Brodhead Fire Department and transported with injuries to Janesville Mercy Hospital by Brodhead EMS at about 9:30 a.m., after Green County Sheriff's deputies responded to the intersection of Wisconsin 11 and Wisconsin 104.
According to deputies, Olson approached the intersection headed westbound on Wis. 11, failed to stop at the stop sign, continued through the intersection and veered off the road, hitting a road sign and embankment.
The vehicle flipped over, coming to rest on its roof. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.
Olson was still listed in critical condition at the hospital as of Monday evening.
The sheriff's department continues to investigate the crash.
