NEW GLARUS - A 9-year-old boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle hit him while he was riding a bicycle Thursday morning in New Glarus.
The child, whose name was not released, was northbound on 3rd Street and failed to stop at a stop sign at 5th Avenue. The child collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Charles D. Phillipson, 67, New Glarus. The boy was transported by New Glarus Area EMS to Monroe Clinic Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Phillipson's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Police and the New Glarus Fire Department assisted on scene.
