Other events>
7 a.m. to noon - Soccer tournament at Green County YMCA soccer fields: 4x4 soccer tournament open to kindergarten-adult. Round-robin play, with each team guaranteed three games against teams in their division. Each player will receive a team T-shirt and medals, including first- and second-place and participation medals. Adult teams receive key chains. Call Marge Klinzing at 329-2465 for available openings. In case of rain, players fee will not be refunded.
All-day coed slowpitch & volleyball tournaments
9:30 p.m. - Fireworks and "SALUTE TO AMERICA" Sky Concert Vehicles will not be permitted to drive through the park during the fireworks display.
Over 300 volunteers are needed to work concession stands and carnival games. Call Carol Wyss 329-2466 to volunteer, and receive a free T-shirt. Also call Monroe Parks and Rec to donate food for concession stands. All proceeds go to improvements at Twining Park.
