MONROE - The Monroe Public Library Board has openings for two trustees.

The openings are due to the expiration of trustee term limits. Terms of new trustees will begin in September, or as soon as possible.

All citizens in the Monroe Public Library service area who are 18 and older are eligible for nomination to the Library Board.

The Board has set a deadline for submission of 9 p.m. Sept. 1.

Informational materials and a brief statement of interest form for those interested in serving on the board are available at the Monroe Public Library Circulation Desk during normal hours, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.

Completed forms should be returned to the Circulation Desk to the attention of Barbara Brewer, library director. The director will bring the completed forms received by the deadline to the Library Board at its next regular meeting on Sept. 17.
