MONROE - Two Illinois men were charged this week in Green County Circuit Court for a burglary last December of Fuzzy's Audio and Video in Monroe.

Trejamario Deshad Allen Cook, 25, Oswego, and Robby Lamont Patton, 28, Sugar Grove, each face a Class F felony count of burglary and two misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, filed Tuesday.

Both were already charged earlier this year for similar burglaries in the area.

Patton faces felony charges in Lafayette County for a September 2016 burglary of the Darlington U.S. Cellular store. In that case, court records show burglars conspired to steal $30,000 worth of merchandise from the business.

Cook is being held on a $10,000 cash bond on other felony charges in Green County for a similar cellphone heist that occurred at the Monroe Radio Shack in February.

The latest charges allege Cook, Patton and a 15-year-old accomplice broke into Fuzzy's, 141 W. 7th St., in the early morning hours of Dec. 20.

The burglars shattered the front door, setting off an alarm, and spent all of 40 seconds inside the store before leaving empty-handed.

All three were wearing gloves and two were wearing face masks, according to the criminal complaint. DNA from a face mask found at the scene matched to Patton, and in July, Cook identified himself and Patton as participants in the burglary.

Both men have prior felony convictions in Illinois - forgery for Patton and retail theft for Cook.

A warrant is issued for Patton's arrest. Cook's next court appearance is Oct. 23.
