MONROE — Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud announced March 18 that the Green County ban on outdoor burning has been rescinded. The announcement came based upon a recommendation from the Green County Fire Officer’s Association and went into effect immediately. 

The recent precipitation improved conditions considerably, according to a press release and Skatrud said they are confident that the community will exercise caution and responsibility while burning outdoors.
