MONROE — Monroe Public Library has resumed limited services.
“While the building remains closed, we’re excited to begin offering curbside pickup for our patrons, as well as live reference service,” said Suzann Holland, library director.
Curbside pickup
Library staff are providing contactless curbside service. The staff places materials into patron’s trunks. Curbside service appointments are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays. An appointment is required to pick up materials. Call or chat during staffed hours to make an appointment.
Returning materials
The outside bookdrop is open starting at 10 a.m. on Mondays through 7 p.m. Thursdays. Oversized materials that don’t fit should be kept. In general, overdue fines will be waived for the duration the building is closed. No items will be due before July 1. Therefore, some items checked out during Curbside Service will have regular due dates.
Reference service
Library staff can answer questions and respond to requests by phone and by chat during staffed hours.
Chat is available at monroepubliclibrary.org, and the library’s phone number is 608-328-7010.
Staffed hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays.
Other services
Wisconsin’s Digital Library and the Libby app are open for 24 hours a day, seven days a week access to downloadable materials.
