MONROE — Effective June 1, Monroe Clinic will implement a new visitor policy across all locations. This update comes as the organization continues into the recovery phase and maintains appropriate precautions to ensure patient safety throughout its facilities.
Patients will be allowed one visitor or support person that meet the following criteria. Visitors must be over the age of 18 and complete and pass a health screening, including temperature, at the door.
Visitors also will be required to maintain social distancing and cover their nose and mouth with a face covering while on-site. Anyone with a positive exposure to COVID-19 or elevated temperature will not be allowed entry without approval by an administrative supervisor.
Patients in Monroe Clinic’s inpatient setting will be asked to designate one visitor for the duration of their stay. Exceptions will be made in end-of-life situations or when a visitor is essential for the patient’s emotional well-being and care.
As a reminder, the valet services remain suspended at this time.
The safety of the patients, employees and community members remains their top priority. They will continue to evaluate and share updates through their website and other channels as they develop their careful approach to safely resume services for their patients.
