Monroe Clinic reports that, for now, it has enough supplies and capacity to care for patients.

MONROE — As Monroe Clinic begin to slowly enter the recovery phase for COVID-19 including increased patient visits, they’re also assuring patients, visitors and community members that steps are being taken to ensure care safely.

Services are being reopened in a phased approach, with precautions in place and a prioritized focus on patients whose appointments and procedures may have been delayed or impacted by COVID-19 regulations.

Monroe Clinic has extensive safety precautions and infection control measures in place at all facilities to limit the risk of exposure and keep everyone safe. This includes: Screening of all patients prior to their scheduled procedures; strict visitor policy to limit unnecessary traffic; entrance screening for all patients and visitors to our facilities; universal use of appropriate personal protective equipment for all providers and staff; enhanced cleaning/disinfection processes at all locations; plexiglass barriers at check-in and registration to ensure appropriate distancing; and realigned waiting room seating to ensure appropriate physical distancing.

Beginning May 11, cloth masks or face coverings were required by all patients, visitors and staff members at Monroe Clinic facilities.

Scheduled patient visits and procedures have been evaluated on a case by case basis since early March at Monroe Clinic as a proactive measure to minimize risks and ensure patient safety.

Those who feel they have come in contact with someone with COVID-19 or have symptoms should go online for a free virtual visit at SSMHealth.com/COVID19.

For other routine appointments, Monroe Clinic continues to offer telehealth visits where appropriate during which patients can meet with a Monroe Clinic provider about their health concerns from the comfort of their own home.

To learn more about telehealth visits, patients can visit the clinic’s website or contact their provider’s office to schedule an appointment.
