The house that S.A. Schindler grew up in New Glarus. Schindler was born April 28, 1871 and died of a heart attack on June 17, 1931. He was elected President of New Glarus, was a member of the Green County Board of Supervisors, school board president, served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1913-1918, and was Deputy State Treasurer at the time of his death.
