Jacob Marty (1850-1910), daughter, Emma Marty (1890-1972), wife, Matilda Jenny Marty (1865-1932) and daughter, Lena Marty Blum (1893-1989).

Jacob Marty was born in the Engi Canton of Glarus, Switzerland, in 1850, and came to Green County with his parents at the age of fourteen. The family purchased a farm 3 miles southeast of Monticello in Mt. Pleasant Township upon their arrival. Upon Jacob’s death, son Albert took over the family farm.
