With another March Madness basketball tournament approaching, here is Dave Fahs. Monroe’s 5’10” sharpshooting basketball ace played an outstanding 1956-1957 season, shattering several Badger Conference records, and some set by Monroe’s Bob Anderegg in 1955. Fahs had a total 416 points in 14 games and established a new total point record for Southern Wisconsin with 525 points in 18 games. Dave Fahs received an athletic scholarship and played for Michigan State from 1958 to 1961, helping win the Big Ten Championship and was one of Michigan State’s 50 leading scorers. - Photos supplied by the Green County Historical Society
