Several antique quilts like the “Lone Star” pictured above will be on display at an “Airing of the Quilts” show which will be held at the Green County Historical  Museum, 1617 9th St on Saturday, August 12, from 1-4. Featured will be an 1800s “Signature” quilt with signatures of prominent local women of the period.  The display is sponsored by the Green County Historical Society and Courthaus quilters.  Weather permitting, the quilts will be “aired” on the front lawn.  The event is free to the public. Photo supplied by the Green County Historical Society
