Zac and Queena Voegeli talk about their best friends Kombi, a 9-year-old pug, and Harley, a 14-year-old pug.

Zac decided he wanted a pug because he always wanted one and had friends who had them. He got Kombi from a breeder and then got Harley after a family friend died.

The couple considers pugs to be well-natured dogs and their care easy.

“Even the baby likes them,” Zac said referring to their 9-month-old son Mack.

Describe Kombi and Harley’s personalities.

Kombi is way too friendly. He’s annoying to other dogs because he’s too friendly.

Zac: Harley is pretty reserved and protective of me. He doesn’t care about anything else. Just me.

What do you like to do together?

They love riding around in cars especially the bus (a vintage Volkswagen). They like to sleep. They hangout with us in the driveway and Harley like to lie in the grass and sun bathe. They love treats. We take them on walks and to car shows at Dairy Queen.

What has it been like having Kombi and Harley in your lives?

They’re both pretty good. They’re easy to handle and don’t fuss or cause a lot of trouble. Queena: A lot of people recognize Zac as “the guy with the pugs.”
