Eric Jerdee, Browntown, talks about his best friend Lexi, a three-year-old lab-Australian shepherd mix.
Jerdee, who owns Beast Buffet, got Lexi from a customer as a puppy.
“As soon as she opened her eyes and they were blue, she was mine,” Jerdee said.

Describe Lexi’s personality.
She’ll do anything for a treat. She’s very food-oriented and hard working. You can put a treat on her nose and she’ll sit there all day until I tell her to get it. She’s a bird-hunting machine, but when she’s in the office she’s a different dog.
What do you like to do together?
We go pheasant hunting all over the country.
What has it been like having Lexi in your life?
She comes to work with me every day and the customers have gotten used to her. She gives me excuses to leave work. Since I’ve gotten her I go on more hunting trips.
