Andy Rocheleau talks about his best friend Bruce, a 5-year-old boxer.
Rocheleau and his wife Tara decided to look for a dog to keep their other dog Mocha company. Rocheleau, however, isn’t a dog person and wasn’t too fond of the idea. They found Bruce with Last Paw Rescue, Westfield, and brought him home.
“He made me love him,” Rocheleau said.

Describe Bruce’s personality.
He loves to love everyone at the house. At home, he’s either in your lap or has his head on your lap. He loves to play tug-of-war with our other dog. He’s just a very loving guy.
What do you and Bruce like to do together?
We go for walks. Him being 90 pounds, it’s hard to do stuff in the house. He wrestles with our other dog Mocha every day.
What has it been like having Bruce in your life?
I am still a cat person but he has taken a special place in my heart. I wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s opened me up to getting more dogs in the future.
