MONROE — The fall Youth Conservation Day was held at Monroe’s Honey Creek Park on the west side of Monroe on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
There were four fifth grade classrooms that participated in the day- Monticello and Monroe-Parkside. Students rotated through 14 stations set up throughout the park for the day.
The day is organized by the Green County Land and Water Conservation Department. The Green County Conservation League provides the required insurance for the day. It takes many volunteers and public employees to create a diverse day of education for the kids.
