DARLINGTON — On Saturday, August 16, the Yesteryear Auto Club from Monroe, visited the Darlington Depot, Caboose, and Railroad collections. James Bennett, who dressed the part, was their guide.

“He knew all about the caboose,” Shirley Holland said. “Jim was informative, and knew all about the updates to the caboose, the train sets, and everything there was to know about the railroad museum. He did a wonderful job. Everyone in our group was pleased.” 

Afterwards, the group gathered for a meal before driving back to Monroe.

Anyone wanting to bring a group to the caboose, is encouraged to do so. Continued donations are being collected through the fundraising efforts of engraved bricks for the patio brick project.
