MONROE - The Green County University of Wisconsin-Extension will host a hands-on event about methods of food preservation, including pressure canning, from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 at St. John's United Church of Christ.
The workshop is being sponsored by the Green County UW-Extension Master Food Preservers and the Green County 4-H Foods Committee.
Up-to-date UW-Extension food preservation publications, along with recipes and explanation of canning and other food preservation techniques are available at the Green County UW-Extension Office.
The cost is $20 per person or $10 per 4-H family. Registration is due by Monday, Aug. 19.
