BARABOO - The Wisconsin Holstein Association is seeking students enrolled in a four-year, one- or two-year or short course or technical school agriculture-related program to apply for available scholarships that range from $250 to $1,000.

All Wisconsin Holstein members are encouraged to apply for scholarships. Students majoring in agricultural degrees are given highest consideration. Non-agricultural majors who plan to have a career that contributes to rural communities will also be given consideration.

The Gordon Berg and Marlowe Nelson Memorial scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled in a technical college, two-year, or short course agriculture program in the amount of $1,000 each. The Doris Morris Memorial Scholarship, the Bradley Fust Memorial Scholarship, the John Klossner Memorial Scholarship and the John Selz Memorial Scholarship will also be awarded in the amount of $1,000 each.

To be eligible for any of the scholarships, applicants must be members of the Wisconsin Holstein Association at the time of application, be enrolled in a four-year college, a one- or two-year tech school or a short course program, or be high school seniors admitted into one of the previously mentioned programs. Scholarships are capped at $1,000 per scholarship recipient. Previous winners who were awarded less than $1,000 may apply again. In 2015, the Scholarship Committee awarded over $16,000 in scholarships to Wisconsin Holstein members.
