Winslow field day set for Aug. 31

WINSLOW — The Practical Farmers of Iowa will hold a field day from 10 a.m. to noon on Aug. 31, at High Plains Grains  in Winslow, 11113 N Christian Hollow Rd, Winslow, IL 61089

The Moest family farm, located in Winslow, Ill., is owned and operated by brothers Ben and Grant Moest. Together, they farm just under 3,000 acres of non-GMO corn, food-grade soybeans and small grains used for seed and grain. 

They use cover crops on most of their acres and own and operate their independent pork business, High Plains Pork. 

The field day to gain practical insights into wheat and rye production, summer cover crops and more.
