MONROE - Council 1471 of the Knights of Columbus announced the winners of the Christmas Poster Contest. There were 155 posters entered in grades one through five. Students from Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy, Northside and Parkside Elementary and St. Victor schools entered with separate judging in each grade level. Winning posters from grades one, two, three and four will be forwarded for regional competition. Grade five is a local contest only. First place winners were each presented with a plaque. Honorable mentions each were awarded a ribbon. Winners are as follows:

Grade one winning poster: Mylee Evonovich, Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy, daughter of Cassie and Amber Evonovich. Honorable mentions are: Hamilton Stites, Annelise Bethke, Connor Eckdhal, Patrick Butler, Jason Wilhite, Hans Brandt, Grace Lewis and Megan Chapman, all of St. Victor; and Pamela Venden, Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy.

Grade two winning poster: Macie Engels, St. Victor, daughter of Douglas and Camie Engels. Honorable mentions are: Teylon Hampton, Aubrie Voegeli, Gracie Hertzke, Sonia Tomasiewicz, Itzel Ayala-Soriano, Gianna Green, Delaney Hoeper, Catherine Schuppner and Honara Hubert, all of St. Victor; and Oliver Krieger, Parkside Elementary.

Grade three winning poster: Anna Polnow, St. Victor, daughter of Glen and Lisa Polnow. Honorable mentions are: Marlies Brandli, Harley Suthers and Dakota Hathaway, all of Parkside; Kaylee Meier, St. Victor; and Ben Curran and Kristina Foley, both of Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy.

Grade four winning poster: Lola Endicott, Northside, daughter of Kris and Sarah Endicott. Honorable mentions are: Savannah Harris, Lauren Coppes, Saige Waefler and McKenzie Lomeli, Parkside; Anthony Wels, Emery Smith, Isaac Bunker, Lindsey Davis, Charlie Wiegel, Jozelyn Miller, Julianna Erdley and Jenna Calvagna, St. Victor.

Grade five winning poster: Olivia Wiegel, St. Victor, daughter of Adam and Stephanie Wiegel. Honorable mentions are: Delaney Wickstrum and Kaitlyn Murphy, Parkside; Allie Cline, Brevin Rach, Heath Huschitt, Sabrina Hanson, Sam Wagner, Sierra McGuire, Anna Garry, Alex Torres and Faye Green, St. Victor.
