LENA - The 50th annual Willow Folk Music Festival will be Aug. 12 and 13 on the Willow Church grounds, 3 miles east of Stockton, Illinois, on Willow Road.
The event will feature more than 100 amateur bluegrass and country singers and acoustic musicians performing from a hay wagon on a country church lawn. There will be jam sessions in a pasture.
Hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 12 with open stage performances. At 6 p.m. there will a short time of memorials. On Aug. 13, breakfast will be from 6:30 to 9:30 .m., followed by a gospel music service at 10:15 a.m. Open stage performances will resume at noon.
Admission is $5 per day; children under 8 are admitted free. No dogs, alcohol or drugs are allowed. More information is available by calling 815-947-3789.
