MONROE — Thomas Kieran Bazley is the recipient of the 11th annual William C. and Margaret L. Parmer Scholarship. In the 11 years since inception, the scholarship has awarded $55,000 to medical students.
The recipient must be from Green County and have been accepted or enrolled in Medical School. Margaret’s husband, William, passed away in 2005 and this was something they had often talked about doing. It has been a wonderful experience for Margaret to see her vision come true and meet the recipients each year.
Kieran is a 2018 graduate of Monroe High School and is in his third year at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Upon completion of medical school, Kieran’s career goal is to be in a hospital and community in the Midwest with an interest in General Surgery.
The William C. and Margaret L. Parmer Scholarship Fund is a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin. For further information, contact Linda Gebhardt, Donor Service representative, at 608-758-0883 or linda@cfsw.org.
