White Building gets a new roof
White Building

MONROE — A new roof is being installed on the historic White Block Building on the southwest corner of the square. The building itself was completed in 1900 and for the first part of the 20th century, the property became an ornament to the downtown and an improvement to the city as a “world class building,” according to Main Street Monroe executive director Jordan Nordby.

Monroe natives and brothers-in-law Scott Mosher and Kyle Keehn, acquired the building in late 2021, with plans to restore the building which they’ve been doing since.

Once the roof is complete, new awnings will be installed.

Presently, Avenues Counseling, Hair on the Square, DC Rise Real Estate, Zenful Moments Spa, Towne Creative Studio, Miracle Ear, and, of course, Harmony Counseling and Consultation-Amy Wilkins are occupied in the building. Upper floor office spaces are currently available.
