Briana and Patrick Cleary
Briana Zajac and Patrick Cleary, Monroe, were united in marriage on July 18 at St. Victor Church in Monroe, officiated by Father Mike Klarer. A reception followed at Peppercorn Banquet hall in Monroe.

The bride is the daughter of Rebecca Zajac of Green Bay and the late Richard Zajac. Parents of the groom are Stephen and Jane Cleary of Darlington.

Presented in marriage by her mother and brother, the bride was attended by her friend, Stephanie Elsner as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shannon Becker-Zajac, Bridget Cleary, Laura Skattum, Andrea Balsiger and Katie Sixel. Brien Cleary, brother of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen were Travis Zajac, Dave Hirsbrunner, Ryan Dahmen, Brian Jefferson and Nate Rucker. Ushers were Dan Tippett, Curt Miller and Ryley O'Brien. Ring bearer was Dylan Heim.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Southern Door High School and has obtained bachelor degrees in graphic design and art education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She has earned a master's degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University and is currently employed by the Monroe School District as an elementary art teacher.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Darlington High School and has earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education with an emphasis in history from the University of Dubuque. He is currently employed with the Monroe School District as a virtual school teacher.

The couple met in Monroe where they now reside.
