Abigail and Benjamin Garard

Abigail Wells and Benjamin Garard were united in marriage June 21, 2008, at the Monroe Arts Center. The bride's brother-in-law, Justin Coverstone, officiated the evening ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Mark and Linda Wells, Monroe. Parents of the groom are David and Pam Garard, Forreston, Ill.

Rachel Leverton, Freeport, was the soloist and was accompanied by Natasha Patterson on piano.

Brianna Coverstone, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Aimee Gobeli, sister of the bride; Annie Wells, sister-in-law of the bride; Elise Morris, and Erinn Witz, cousins of the bride; and Christine Popp and Anette Puskas.

Best man was Nathan Garard, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Benjamin and Jared Wells, brothers of the bride, and Matthew, Adam, Luke and Caleb Garard, brothers of the groom.

Isabella Coverstone, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. W. Ayden Gobeli, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.

The ushers were Jared Wells, Benjamin Wells, Andrew Bisegger and Kate Huber.

A buffet reception at Ludlow Mansion immediately followed the wedding ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in Naples, Florida. They reside in Dubuque, Iowa.

The groom is a senior at Columbia College of Missouri pursuing a business administration/marketing degree. He works as assistant manager at Hartig's Drug in Dubuque.

The bride is a senior at University of Dubuque with a double major in flight operations/aviation management. She works as a waitress at Fried Green Tomatoes in Galena, Ill.
