MONROE — Green County Emergency Management has planned a local severe weather/tornado spotters classes.
The first class will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 15 at the Monroe Fire Dept. #1, 601 W 17th Street (by Badger State Ethanol). The next class will be at 6:30 p.m. at New Glarus Fire Department, 218 4th Avenue. Marc Kavinsky, meteorologist with the National Weather Service will be instructing the classes.
The classes will be split in two sections. Attendees can choose to attend one or both sessions. The free classes are open to all first responders and the public. Pre-registration is appreciated by calling Green County Emergency Management at 328-9416.
