Warrior homecoming begins on Oct. 3

SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk High School will celebrate Homecoming 2011, with a theme of "Disney Movies," from Oct. 3 to 8.

Monday, Oct. 3 will be Nerd Day; Tuesday, Oct. 4 will be Pajama Day; Wednesday, Oct. 5 will be Senior Citizen Day; Thursday, Oct. 6 will be Theme/Color Day; and Friday, Oct. 7 will be Spirit Day. Details of the rest of the events are as follows. For more information, call (608) 439-5371.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

- Girls Volleyball vs. Monticello (7 p.m.), Pack the Gym Night - Attendees, including Monticello fans, will receive free admission with a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Black Hawk Food Pantry.

Friday, Oct. 7

- Float decoration (3rd to 5th periods)

- Field Day (after lunch)

- Football activities, K to 6 (6:30 to 8 p.m.)

- Powder Puff Dodgeball

- Pep rally in gym (8 p.m.)

- Fireworks (8:30 p.m.), with music by Long Hard Ride.

Saturday, Oct. 8

- Football vs. North Crawford (2 p.m.). Court presented at halftime

- Dance (7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.). $3 per person, $5 per couple).
