MONROE - The Walk with Ease kits are available for loan to county residents at the Green County Aging and Disability Resource Center.
The kits can help strengthen self-management skills by helping those with arthritis pain. The kits are a guide to walking for better health, improved fitness and less pain. Walking has been shown to reduce the pain and discomfort of arthritis and increase balance, strength and walking pace.
The Walk with Ease kit include:
A guidebook that teaches participants how to walk safely and comfortably
A workbook to tracks progress on the go
A multi-function pedometer with clock, large easy-to-read screen, and clip
Reflective shoe tag and arm band to increase visibility when walking
